Santa Monica girls basketball team won a thriller at Inglewood Wednesday night, notching a 47-45 victory at the buzzer.
On the final play of the game, Bianka Balthazar inbounded the ball to Kristina Johnson, who drove to the basket for the game-winning lay-up as time expired.
The Lady Vikings now possess a 12-3 overall record and are 1-0 in the Ocean League. They were without the services of senior guard Moriah Faulk, who sat out the game for breaking an unspecified team rule, said coach Marty Verdugo.
Samohi next hosts Culver City at home Friday.
