One Day Without Shoes Brings Poverty Awareness: TOMS Shoes Walks On L.A.

The walk took place in Downtown LA

It started with 20 people in a warehouse in Santa Monica.

Now, TOMS Shoes is known throughout the world. On Tuesday, April 5, people on five different continents joined to walk barefoot for one mile to remember those children in need.

TOMS Shoes and Whole Foods Market joined forces to hold the third annual One Day Without Shoes walk in Downtown LA, West Hollywood and Santa Clarita Park in the Los Angeles area.

People also uploaded their videos from around the world to archive the day.

TOMS Shoes’ One For One movement gives a child in need a pair of shoes for every pair it sells.
