Santa Monica Sporting FC Raises Money for the Red Cross: Charity Soccer Game Helps Tornado Victims in the Midwest

On Saturday, the soccer club Santa Monica Sporting FC a charity soccer game at Airport Park whose donations went to help the victims of the tornado disasters in the Midwest. Celebrities like former U.S. National Player Joe Max Moore, actor Jimmy Jean Louis, English Premier League player Tom Huddleston, Fox soccer broadcaster Nick Webster and “Full House” star Candace Cameron all came out to show their support.

Robin Burt, who is affiliated with Santa Monica Sporting FC, said this will not be the only event the team will do to help.

Admission was free, so the money raised was donated by people giving what they could. The game raised $715 for the Red Cross to support their efforts in the disaster relief.
