Grammy Award-Winner John Clayton Brings Jazz Back to Venice: Venice High Crescendos Raise Money for School

VENICE – Grammy Award-winning John Clayton conducted the Venice High jazz band “The Crescendos.” But these were the alumni of Venice High from the time the Crescendos won the “Battle of the Bands,” and on Saturday night, they played the Venice High Auditorium to bring money back to the school.

The band played two sets of classic jazz, from “West Side Story” to “The Pink Panther” that had those in attendance clapping in delight.

The Mirror has not received the total amount of money raised from Saturday’s concert. As soon as that information is available, it will be posted.
