Santa Monica Weekend Weather Forecast: 20 Percent Chance Of Thunderstorms Tonight:

Santa Monica residents can expect a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight after 11 p.m, according to the National Weather Service.

There will also be patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 61 with a west southwest wind between 10 and 15 m.p.h. becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Saturday:

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am. Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming west southwest between 5 and 10 mph.

Saturday Night:

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. West southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm.

Sunday:

Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

Sunday Night:

Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Monday:

Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Monday Night:

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.

On Tuesday, June 21, at 7:25 a.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to the Santa Monica Animal Shelter, located at 1640 Ninth Street, in order to investigate an attempted burglary. When the officers arrived at the location they spoke with Animal Control officers who told them that a padlock and hasp on one of the kennels had been damaged and that they had also found a large rock outside the gate.
