City Of Santa Monica, SMMUSD Partner To Open More Doors To Fitness:

Sharing a strong commitment to meet the community’s recreational needs and pursuant to the Santa Monica High School Master Facilities Use Agreement, the City and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District have partnered to make the new synthetic turf football/soccer field and other recreational facilities at Santa Monica High School (SAMOHI) available for City programs and community use during specified non-school hours.

The new synthetic turf field is available only by permit as are the Drake Pool and Natatorium, dance studio, wrestling room, and south gymnasium. The track, outdoor basketball courts and tennis courts will be available for both drop-in and permitted use.

Beginning Oct. 28, 2011, the City will begin managing use of the field, track and tennis courts with the District continuing to manage the remaining facilities.
