The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education will be holding a retreat with the Superintendent this Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Office, located at 1651 16th St., Santa Monica.
During this retreat, a facilitator will work with the Board of Education and superintendent to discuss board and superintendent protocols and governance practices.
Such retreats are standard practice when a board hires a new superintendent.
