Will Rogers Learning Community in Santa Monica is putting the fun back in fundraising.
The PTA challenged Principal Steve Richardson to dye his hair blue or kiss a pig if a $30,000 fundraising goal was reached by Oct. 14.
Donors got to vote on the gag and dyeing the hair was in the lead.
With two days left in the campaign the $30,000 goal was reached and Principal Richardson upped the ante.
If $35,000 was raised by midnight Oct. 14 he would dye his hair and kiss a pig.
Well, the community responded and surpassed $36,000 by the deadline.
The culminating event will be this Friday, Oct. 21 at 9:45 am — and the pig and hair dye are ready.
