Annual Twilight Concert Series Poster Contest Returns:

Entries are now being accepted for the 28th Annual Twilight Concert Series’ Poster Contest.

The Santa Monica Pier Restoration Corporation once again invites talented student, amateur and professional designers to submit entries.

The winning design becomes the primary communications piece for the concert series, used in display advertising, posters, flyers, banners, and more.

The artist who creates the winning design will receive $750 and their design becomes a collector’s item and keepsake from the 28-year-old series. In addition, the winner will receive a VIP package for the summer including a backstage pass to the series.

All entries are due on April 16, 2012.

This year’s winner will be chosen via a secure internet poll on www.santamonicapier.org. Visitors to the site will only be able to vote one time, for one poster. Voting will take place after April 16 and through the end of the month.

The winner of the 2011 Poster Contest was Andrew Kligier, a native of Santa Monica, with his design entitled “Sounds of Sunset.”

Contest rules, design specifications and entry forms are available at www.santamonicapier.org. Entries are due at the Pier’s office by 5 p.m. PST on April 16, 2012. More information is available by contacting Anne Railsback at 310.458.8786 or by email at anne@santamonicapier.org.
