Tickets Still Available To 2012 Red Tie Affair At Fairmont Miramar Hotel On April 21: The American Red Cross of Santa Monica’s Gala To Start At 5 p.m.

Tickets are still available for purchase to The American Red Cross of Santa Monica’s annual “Red Tie Affair” gala fundraiser at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica on Saturday, April 21.

Jamie Lee Curtis will be the recipient of the “American Red Cross Crystal Cross Humanitarian Award.” Curtis is a noted motion picture and television actress and a member of the organization’s national celebrity cabinet.

Actor and comic Denis Leary will receive the American Red Cross “Spirit of Service Award,” J.R. Martinez (war veteran and actor) will receive the Red Cross “Spirit of Inspiration Award” and Dr. Timothy Miller will receive the “Rick Crocker Spirit of Volunteerism Award.” Dr. Miller is the leader Chief of Plastic Surgery for Operation Mend at Ronald Regan/UCLA Medical Center.

Celebrity chef, author, and TV show host Nick Stellino will supervise the preparation of a gourmet dinner and KTTV Fox 11 News anchor Christine Devine will be the event’s Mistress of Ceremonies for the fifth year in arow.

National American Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern will attend this year’s Red Tie Affair gala that recognizes the humanitarian spirit of extraordinary individuals.

This year’s Red Tie sponsors include Southern California Edison, Electrolux Home Appliances, Mattel, Grainger, Wells Fargo, C&H Sugar Company, UCLA Health System, Sempra, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Emergent, WESSCO and WME Entertainment among others.

A number of celebrity guests from the world of show business and professional sports are slated to be a part of the 2012 gala. In all, 500 attendees are expected.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The Fairmont Miramar Hotel is located at 101 Wilshire Boulevard.
