Santa Monica’s National Night Out Tonight From 6 p.m. To 8 p.m.:

Santa Monica’s National Night Out Tuesday

Meet Santa Monica’s new Chief of Police Jacqueline Seabrooks and members of the SMPD when the City takes part in the nationwide celebration called National Night Out today, Aug. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It will be held in the Santa Monica Civic Center parking lot located at 1855 Main Street.

In its 29th year, National Night Out involves more than 15,325 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world.

Along with showcasing the Department’s personnel and equipment, there will also be local bicycle vendors, driving demonstrations, a giant inflatable fire engine slide, a rock climbing wall, carnival games, food trucks, and more.

Free food and drinks will also be available and free parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Structure located directly across the street from the Public Safety Building.

Some of the sponsors of this year’s event include the Santa Monica Police Officers’ Association, 7-Eleven, Ocean Park Pizza, La Monarcha Bakery, Santa Monica – UCLA, and Chabad Santa Monica.
