Whole Foods Markets To Present ‘A Jazz Fete’ This Friday Night:

Santa Monica’s House of Rock, a multimillion-dollar residential estate where
fundraising events have previously been held for non-profit organizations, has been making headlines as City Council may ban future events at the estate after neighbors have complained of increased light, noise, and traffic on event nights.

However, previously scheduled events between now and December have been permitted to go ahead including “A Jazz Fete” this Friday, Nov. 9 that still has tickets available for purchase.

The evening is a partnership between Whole Foods Market and the House of Rock to celebrate the holidays while giving back to an important cause.

Hosted at the historic estate, all proceeds from the evening that runs 7-10:30 p.m. will benefit The Grammy Foundation and its work cultivating the understanding, appreciation, and advancement of recorded music across the United States.

Grammy nominated jazz saxophonist Dave Koz, along with Whole Foods Market Southern Pacific Regional President and keyboardist Patrick Bradley, will serenade the crowd with smooth jazz sounds while guests enjoy some of Whole Foods Market’s latest holiday catering options.

For those who want to get a jump start on their holiday planning, the option to pre-order catering for upcoming events – such as holiday office parties and family gatherings – will also be available onsite.

The event gives attendees a sample of the new releases of Koz wine – a pairing for Koz’s new CD, “Live at the Blue Note Tokyo.”

Menu items will include Italian cheeses and prosciutto, freshly sliced pick of the season pomegranates, blood oranges, and globe grapes.

Sustainable seafood selections will also be highlighted including shrimp, lobster tails, and oysters on the half shell.

From Whole Foods Market’s butcher will be Mary’s free-range turkey, duck, and goose as well as Eel River organic standing rib roast with horseradish sauce.

All of this will be accompanied by seasonal sides: choices of mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, and seasonal vegetables.

And to top off the evening, guests will be able to bid on a selection of silent auction items that include Fender guitars, dinner for four at FIG restaurant in Santa Monica, and much more.

The cost is $50 per person and attendance will be limited to the first 150 guests. The exact location will be given to guests upon RSVP confirmation, which can be secured at www.ajazzfete2012.eventbrite.com.
