Just days after late artist Miriam Wosk’s art went on display at the Santa Monica Museum of Art as part of the Museum’s winter exhibitions, her 1920s Spanish style home at 436 Adelaide Drive in Santa Monica has been listed for $12.5 million. Wosk passed away in 2010.
Westside Estate Agency has listed the property, which Wosk purchased from actor Jeff Bridges.
The artist, renowned for her painting and collage art, remodeled the home to meet her high creative standards. As a result, it features a number of artistic design elements, lighting, and color.
The 7,801-square-foot home includes a master suite, two additional bedrooms, six bathrooms and a one-bedroom guest house, along with a spacious living room, den, kitchen, family room, solarium and pool. The property also features a massive studio space where Wosk created and displayed much of her artwork.
“This home was remodeled to seamlessly integrate creative and living spaces into one layout,” said WEA chairman Stephen Shapiro, the property’s listing agent. “It’s the perfect fit for creative artists who seek an artistic space where they can live, work and entertain.”
Wosk’s current exhibition at the SMMoA runs through April 20.
