Westside Neighborhood School will partner with IVERBE camp from June 24-July 26, 2013 as a part of the WNS summer program.
All students in the community entering kindergarten through eighth grades (WNS and non-WNS students) can elect to participate in Iverbe Camp offered in the afternoons featuring sports, dance, cooking, and arts and crafts activities for students age 5-13.
In addition, the morning WNS Summer Academy program is back by popular demand, open to all WNS and non-WNS students entering second through eighth grades in the fall.
The Summer Academy aims to stretch reading, writing, math, collaboration, organization and study skills through engaging hands-on, project-based learning activities taught by WNS faculty.
Desiree Friedmann, Ph.D., Director of Summer Programs, said the camp even has international students from as far away as Latvia and Spain.
“These programs will provide students with enriching academic, artistic, athletic, and social experiences that will help to prepare them for a successful start of the next school year,” Friedmann said.
Westside Neighborhood School is a DK-8th-grade independent school adjacent to Playa Vista, and serves elementary and middle school students from more than 50 zip codes throughout the Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and South Bay communities.
