Downtown Santa Monica Announces 2013 “Cinema On The Street” Line-Up:

Downtown Santa Monica has announced its schedule of outdoor movies for its third annual “Cinema on the Street” series of summertime movies.

Residents are encouraged to unwind in a unique outdoor setting under the stars on the last three Friday evenings in July on the Third Street Promenade.

MI’s Westside Comedy Theater will have attendees laughing in their seats with a pre-show comedy performance at the screenings of “Back to the Future” and “Three Amigos!”

AMC Theatres will be raffling off a Family four-pack of movie tickets at the screening of “Despicable Me” and there will also be a special appearance from a “Despicable Me Minion.”

Free blankets will be given out to the first 100 guests for each show.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their beach chairs, a date, family and friends to enjoy favorite classic movies and an evening of fun.

The outdoor movie screen will be located on Third Street Promenade between Wilshire Boulevard and Arizona Avenue, just outside of Chipotle.

Attendance is free. Parking is available in city parking structures throughout Downtown Santa Monica (www.smgov.net/parking).

Movie sponsors include AMC Theatres, Art One Gallery, Seasons 52, Buca Di Beppo, Iobella, Yogurtland, and Brookstone.

The schedule of outdoor movies is as follows:

— Friday, July 12, 2013 – “Back to the Future”

— Friday, July 19, 2013 – “Despicable Me” (3D – glasses to be provided)

— Friday, July 26, 2013 – “¡Three Amigos!”

The movies will begin each night at approximately 7:30 pm, but the time is subject to change depending on sunset.
