Los Angeles Triathlon Sunday; Big Blue Bus To Detour Routes:

The Herbalife Los Angeles Triathlon will take place this Sunday, Sept. 29 from 5am to approximately 2 pm (or when streets re-open).

Big Blue Bus routes 3, 5, 7, 12, 14 and Rapid 10 will all be on detour. Shuttles will be provided for Routes 3, 7 and 14. Check out your route below.

Route 3 to Venice

Regular route to Lincoln and Superba, then buses will detour and there will be no service south of Venice Blvd. or north of Washington; however, Venice Blvd. going westbound will be open. Final stop will be at Lincoln and Venice Blvd. (northbound).

The stops on Lincoln at Victoria, Venice Blvd. (southbound) and Couer D’Alene will be missed; instead, use Lincoln at Superba or the temporary stop on Lincoln at Venice Blvd. (northbound).

Route 3 to UCLA

Buses will depart from regular stop on Lincoln and Victoria. The stop on Lincoln at Zanja will be missed; instead, use temporary stop on Lincoln at Venice Blvd. (northbound)

Route 3 Shuttle from Venice to Green Line Station

Shuttle will provide service between Lincoln at Washington (southbound) and the Green Line Station.

Route 3 Shuttle from Green Line Station to UCLA

Shuttle will provide service between the Green Line Station and Lincoln at Maxella, then buses will detour and the final stop will be on Lincoln at Washington (southbound).

Route 5 to Expo Culver City Station

Regular route to National at Venice which will also be the final stop. The stop on Robertson at Venice Blvd. will be missed; instead, use National at Venice.

Route 5 to Downtown Santa Monica

Service will begin on Robertson at Kincardine and then resume regular route. The stops on Robertson at Venice Blvd, National at Venice Blvd., and National at Robertson will be missed; instead use Robertson at Kincardine. Please note: Buses will depart leave five minutes before the scheduled time from Robertson at Venice Blvd.

Route 7 to Rimpau Terminal

Buses will depart from 6th at Broadway and travel regular route to Pico at La Cienega. Then buses will detour and turn right on La Cienega, right onto the 10 Freeway (east), exit La Brea, turn right on La Brea, right on Pico and resume regular route to Rimpau Terminal. The following stops will be missed:

• Pico at La Cienega, Alvira, Crescent Heights, Hi Point and Fairfax; instead, use temporary stop on Pico at La Cienega (before the intersection).

Route 7 to Downtown Santa Monica

Buses will depart from Rimpau Terminal and travel regular route to Pico at La Brea. Then buses will detour and turn left on La Brea, right onto the 10 Freeway (west), exit Robertson, turn right on Robertson, left on Pico and resume regular route. The following stops will be missed:

• Pico at Fairfax, Hi Point, Crescent Heights, La Jolla and La Cienega; instead, use temporary stop on Pico at La Cienega (in front of the Shell gas station).

Route 7 Shuttle

Shuttle will provide service between Rimpau Terminal/Pico and Pico at Genesee and vice versa.

Rapid 10 to Downtown LA

Regular route to Olive at Pico, then buses will detour and turn right on Pico, left on Main, right on Temple and resume regular route. The following stops will be missed:

• Olive at 12th St., 11th St., Olympic and 9th St.

• 7th St at Hope and Figueroa.

• Figueroa at 6th St. and 5th St.

• Hope at 3rd St. and 1st St.

• Temple at Hope and Grand.

Instead use the following temporary stops:

• Main at Pico, 9th St., 8th St., 7th St., 6th St., 5th St., 3rd St. and 1st St.

Rapid 10 to Downtown Santa Monica

Regular route to Hope and 1st St., then buses will detour and turn left on 1st St., right on Hill, right on Pico, left on Grand and resume regular route. The following stops will be missed:

• Flower at 3rd St., 4th St. and 5th St.

• Wilshire at Hope and Grand.

• Grand at 7th St., 8th St., 9th St., Olympic, 11th St. and 12th St.

Instead use the following temporary stops:

• Hill at 1st St., 3rd St., 4th St., 5th St., 6th St., 7th St., 8th St., 9th St., Olympic, 11th St. and Pico.

Route 12 to UCLA

Buses will depart from Venice at Culver and travel regular route. Please note: Buses will be scheduled to leave 3 minutes before the scheduled time from Robertson at Venice.

Route 12 to Expo Culver City Station

Regular route to National at Bagley, buses will detour and continue east on National to Venice Blvd., turn right on Venice Blvd. The final stop will be on Venice Blvd. at Culver.

Route 14 to Culver City

Regular route to Centinela at Charnock, then buses will detour and final stop will be on Centinela at Venice Blvd. (northbound).

Route 14 to Brentwood

Buses will depart from Centinela at Venice (after the intersection) and resume regular route.

Route 14 Shuttle

Shuttle will provide service between Centinela at Culver and Centinela at Barbara and vice versa.
