In celebration of Santa Monica’s 2nd annual Eat Well Week, the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau is encouraging the community to create customized “wellness pairing” experiences.
Eat Well Week, which launched Sunday and runs through Sunday, Jan. 12, has more than a dozen top restaurants offering discounted prix fixe menus and new healthy menu options that satisfy both the wallet and waistline.
The SMCVB has also compiled a list of activities from the Santa Monica wellness community for the New Year (see link at bottom of article).

Rent a bike at one of Perry’s on the Beach’s four Santa Monica locations and exploring beautiful Santa Monica on two wheels.

After renting a bike, considering heading to Ristorante Al Mare on the Santa Monica Pier.
For $29 per person, diners can enjoy three courses as part of its Eat Well Week menu.
Appetizer selections include:
— Buffalo mozzarella bruschetta, sliced tomato and basil pesto.
— Seared tuna carpaccio, crushed potato, Taggiasche olives, and parsley pesto.
— Pulled chicken breast salad, arugula, dried cranberries, hazelnuts, and Balsamic.
Entrée selections include:
— Hand made organic butternut squash tortellini and fresh ricotta with butter and sage.
— Grilled jumbo shrimp over vegetable cous cous with raisins and crustacean bisque.
— Mixed grilled veggies pizza with olives, chopped tomato, basil oil, and fresh burrata cheese.
For dessert, enjoy Pineapple tar-tar with low fat yogurt foam and strawberry yogurt sorbet.
