Santa Monica High Basketball Team To Open Ocean League Season This Week: Vikings go into league with one win in last five games

The Santa Monica High School boys basketball team will get a real barometer on just how good it is this season when the team open up Ocean League play against hoop powerhouses Inglewood on Wednesday, Jan. 15 and Culver City on Friday, Jan. 17.

So far this season, it has been a season of highs and lows for the Vikings. Samohi goes into league play with just one win in its last five games.

The Vikings defeated Vista del Lago of Moreno Valley as its final tuneup heading into league play. Samohi put away its 68-38 win against Vista del Lago early.

The Vikings used a 29-15 advantage in the first half to cruise to the win.
