Letter To The Editor: The Positive Restoration Decision To Restore Chain Reaction:

Dear Editor:

It is indeed positive that the City of Santa Monica is now supporting the restoration of Paul Conrad’s unique and creative ‘Chain Reaction’ mushroom cloud peace sculpture.

It will also be positive to see City Council members and City staff joining hands with Conrad family members and the community in a “chain of unity” around the iconic landmarked sculpture at a Save Chain Reaction planned public gathering on June 27, what would have been the late three-time Pulitzer Prize winning political cartoonist’s 90th birthday.

Thank you very much,

Jerry Rubin
