Empty Bowls Santa Monica will be held this Saturday

The Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica (UUSM) presents Empty Bowls Santa Monica at 11 am this Saturday.

The event will include a meal along with a display of ceramic bowls.

Soups and breads will be donated by local restaurants and supermarkets, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.

More than 150 handcrafted unique soup bowls will be donated by local schools and local community potters.

Suggested donation for the general public is $20 and includes the meal and a handmade bowl to serve as a reminder of the presence of empty bowls in the community.

One hundred percent of the donations will go to the Westside Food Bank.
