Ingrid Walters of Santa Monica placed second among the women at Sunday’s 10th annual OC Marathon with a time of 3:00:03.
Mohamed Fadil of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bonnie Axman of Imperial Beach were the men’s and women’s winners, both setting course records.
Fadil completed the 26-mile, 385-yard course from the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa in two hours, 21 minutes, 42 seconds. Axman was timed in 2:45:56.
Stephan Shay of Huntington Beach was second among the men in 2:23:09, followed by Andrew Falkiewicz of San Diego in 2:38:37.
Kelly Burnham placed third among women with a time of 3:01:12.
