The United States Geological Survey has reported a 3.0 earthquake occurred just after 12:20 p.m. today near Manhattan Beach, Calif.
A Twitter post just moments after the quake indicated the shocks were felt as far away as north Santa Monica.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was estimated to be just off the coast of Manhattan Beach in the Santa Monica Bay. The USGS website for earthquake updates initially reported the epicenter was 9.3 kilometers (5.77 miles) west of the coastline.
I probably spend about half an hour a day reading and commenting on Facebook. As I understand it, that’s not a serious FB “habit,” although that would add up to three and half hours a week I could easily spend on other things. As a musician, I could probably write and record a song demo every week if I had that time back.
