This happy group of Santa Monica Assistance League volunteer-members have just filled 919 back packs with school supplies for students in 21 local schools, including Schools on Wheels.
This is just one of the organization’s philanthropic programs, the funds coming from sales in its Thrift Shop located at 1453 Fifteenth Street.
Check them out at www.SantaMonica.AssistanceLeague.org and stop by the shop between 11 am and 3 pm. It is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
