A search for occupants of two boats that collided off Dockweiler State Beach on Monday has been scaled back, authorities said.
The collision was reported around 9:05 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said.
It appeared one boat had overturned, but it was unclear if there were any victims, Pittman said.
The fire department had kept equipment at the scene, but the search had been scaled back, Pittman said.
