Santa Monica police arrested a woman on a domestic battery charge on Saturday, Oct. 4 soon after the woman had assaulted her boyfriend.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to a residence located in the 800 block of 23rd Street at 3:36 am on this day in order to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival of the dispute the officers spoke with the victim, a man, who was in some kind of romantic relationship with the suspect, a woman.
The victim stated that the woman had attacked him after they had been disputing something, or some things, and that she had punched him several times in the face and chest after verbal intercourse had failed to resolve the dispute in her favor.
The victim added that during the attack he had also hurt his knee.
Based upon the preliminary investigation the officers arrested the woman, aged 39, and a resident of Santa Monica, and she was charged with domestic battery. It was not known at time of going to press whether or not bail was granted.
