The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Dec. 8, 2010, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.225.
The average price has decreased 43 consecutive days and 66 of the past 67, dropping 60.3 cents over that span, including nine-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 6.8 cents less than one week ago, 40.6 cents lower than one month ago and 40.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent today to $3.181, its lowest amount since Dec. 4, 2010. It has decreased 41 of the past 42 days, dropping 50.1 cents over that span, including a half-cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago, 42.3 cents lower than one month ago and 42.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
