A gunman critically wounded three people during a shooting attack at a party staged by bikers in South Los Angeles, police said today.
The shooting in the area of 54th Street and Second Avenue was reported to police at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a watch commander at the 77th Street Station, who added no other information.
Several bullet casings were found at the shooting, said Los Angeles police officer Lilliana Preciado of the Media Relations Section.
According to media reports, 50 to 60 people were in attendance at the party.
At the time of the shooting, which started with a disagreement, the gunman — about 20 to 30 years old — left the location and returned with a female accomplice, firing several shots, before leaving again on foot.
The three shooting victims, who were at the entrance of the party, are expected to survive, according to media reports.
