A celebration of Three Kings Day will be held at Disney California Adventure Park today through Tuesday, with the addition this year of “The Spirit of Navidad,” a storytelling performance presented by two bilingual musical artists.
The celebration also includes the opportunity for guests to take pictures with the sculptures of the Three Kings bearing gifts and eat a traditional sweet treat known as “Rosca de Reyes.”
There will be craft-making activities for children, including paper crowns with sparkling “jewels.”
Mariachi, norteno and other regional music groups will perform at the Paradise Gardens Bandstand.
The Three Kings Day celebration coincides with the conclusion of “Disney Viva Navidad!”
This holiday event includes a street party performed six times daily, featuring The Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Panchito and Jose Carioca) on a colorful holiday float; Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on brightly decorated street tricycles; flag-bearers carrying banners; Mexican folklorico dancers, Brazilian samba dancers and drummers; and giant puppets depicting Santa and Mrs. Claus.
“Disney Viva Navidad!” activities also include arts and crafts, storytelling and face painting.
Three Kings Day, also known as Dia de los Reyes Magos and Epiphany, falls on Tuesday.
