A man in his 20s was stabbed in the back outside the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood by a man who fled the scene, a police sergeant said today.
It happened about 9 p.m. Sunday on the sidewalk in front of the Guinness World Records Museum at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, Los Angeles police Sgt. Titus Tyler said.
The victim was transported to a hospital with a wound that was not believed life-threatening, Tyler said.
The suspect was a man also in his 20s who fled on foot and police were unable to locate him, he said.
Motive was not known but Tyler said there was an incident in the past between rival gangs and investigators would pursue whether it had something to do with the stabbing.
