League Of Women Voters To Host “Women Who Shape Santa Monica” Celebration:

The League of Women Voters of Santa Monica (LWVSM) invites the community to join them on Thursday, March 26, as the organization honor four “Women Who Shape Santa Monica.”

This year LWVSM will salute Assistant Director, Community and Cultural Services for the City of Santa Monica Julie Rusk, Santa Monica YWCA Executive Director Julia Miele, Santa Monica-Malibu PTA Council President Rochelle Fanali, and League member and candidate forum moderator Sandy Jacobson.

“It’s always a privilege to shine light on the accomplishments of these special women who’ve given so much to our city,” said LWVSM President Ann Williams. “Their lifework expands upon the progress of the pioneering suffragists who gave American women the right to vote and founded our organization. League of Women Voters of California President Helen Hutchinson will also be on hand to help with the festivities.”

The event will take place at 7 pm at the Ocean House penthouse. Attendees will toast honorees with a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the Santa Monica Pier.

Ocean House is located between Pacific Street and Bicknell Avenue. Metered street parking and beach lot parking are available.

A donation of $40 can be paid before the event by PayPal at www.lwvsantamonica.org. A donation of $45 can be paid at the door by cash, check or credit card. RSVP by contacting 310.692.1494 or email, league@lwvsantamonica.org.
