“Furious 7” Clocks $60 Million In Second Lap Of Box Office Circuit:

“Furious 7” and its departed star, Paul Walker, raced ahead of the competition this weekend, and clocked $60 million in its second lap at the North American box office circuit.

The extension of the “Fast And Furious” franchise now has amassed $252.5 million in tickets, according to studio estimates.

“Home” was occupying second place, with $19 million in sales on its third weekend of exhibition.

“The Longest Ride” debuted in third place, with $13.5 million in sales.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular films in the U.S. and Canada this weekend, as projected by Hollywood studios and reported by Rentrak, were “Get Hard” ($8.6 million), “Cinderella” ($7.2 million), “The Divergent Series: Insurgent” ($6.9 million), “Woman In Gold” ($5.9 million), It Follows” ($2 million), “Danny Collins” ($1.6 million) and “While We’re Young” ($1.4 million).
