CBS’ "The Big Bang Theory," television’s most-watched scripted series, was selected as favorite TV show, favorite network TV comedy while its star, Jim Parsons, was chosen as favorite comedic TV actor.
ABC’s "Grey’s Anatomy" was chosen as favorite network TV drama and its star, Ellen Pompeo as favorite dramatic TV actress.
Ellen DeGeneres was honored with a favorite humanitarian award in recognition of her charitable work. She was also selected favorite daytime TV host, her record-tying 17th People’s Choice Award.
Ed Sheeran was chosen as favorite male artist, winning in a field that also included The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Luke Bryan and Nick Jonas. Taylor Swift was selected as favorite female artist, winning over Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey, Madonna and Selena Gomez.
Dwayne Johnson won for favorite premium cable TV actor. He was also nominated in two other categories, losing to Chris Hemsworhty for favorite action movie actor and Britney Spears as favorite social media celebrity.
