Legendary seven time Emmy winning actor Ed Asner and Oscar winning director Mark Rydell will be starring in “Plays InThe Park” at the Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica, CA, on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2.
Written and directed by Brian Connors, “Plays In The Park” stars Ed Asner, Mark Rydell, David Lockhart, Natasha Blasick and Dahlia Waingort. Actor John Heard will lead a live Q&A, plus there will also be a special appearance by gospel singers, The Smith Sistahs.

Brian Connors is a Santa Monica resident with a long career as both an actor and director. Connors’ full-length plays and screenplays includeTwo Sisters, Cross Your Heart, King Baby and Plays In The Park. One of his short plays turned into a short film entitled “Good Men” starring Ed Asner and Mark Rydell. He is a member of the Actors Studio Playwright/Directors Unit led by Rydell and Martin Landau.
