Ocean Park Community Center’s request for flu vaccines was not approved for this season, so UCLA Health offered to donate the vaccines and hospital nurses volunteered to administer them.

“The response from our nurses has been overwhelming,” said David Bailey, RN, MSN, chief nursing officer at UCLA’s Santa Monica hospital. “I’m extremely proud of their spirited response to this outreach effort to vaccinate this vulnerable, underserved group in our community.”
