Main Street Holiday Celebrations!

The annual Main Street Holiday Party takes places tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and is complete with all of the trimmings including tree lighting and caroling.

A Sidewalk Sale will also be held all weekend. Saturday Dec. 3 Schedule:

5 p.m.: Santa! Will be at the California Heritage Museum lawn at for photos with the kids. Bring your own camera.

6 p.m.: Tree Lighting at the California Heritage Museum lawn, with the Samohi choir and other carolers.

6:25 p.m. Candlelight Walk led by Santa to the Edgemar Courtyard for music by the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers.

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Holiday parties!

Main Street Window Decorations Contest

Every year Main Street merchants are urged to decorate their windows for this cool contest.

A select team of judges review the entrants and choose a first, second and third place winner.

  • The first place winner receives $150
  • Second place receives $100
  • Third place receives $50

Additionally, the public is encouraged to engage in a photo Instagram contest, taking photos of their favorite windows. The photo that gets the most likes on Instagram gains the photographer a prize. Contestants must identify the business and hashtag the photo: #mainstreetsm
