A judge Tuesday put on hold depositions and other information-sharing in a Canyon Lake woman’s sexual battery lawsuit against Bill Cosby.

Santa Monica Court Judge Craig D. Karlan said that in the wake of the June 17 mistrial in the comedian’s criminal case in Pennsylvania, he was staying discovery in Judy Huth’s civil suit against Cosby until July 30, 2018, to give prosecutors time to retry Cosby.

The Pennsylvania case involves allegations that Cosby drugged and molested Temple University employee Andrea Constand.

Huth’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, called Karlan’s ruling “reasonable.”

Huth sued Cosby in 2014. She alleges she that in 1974, when she was 15 years old, Cosby invited her and a 16-year-old friend into a house where he convinced her to drink a beer for every game of pool he won. Huth alleges he later took her and her friend to the Playboy Mansion, where he molested her in a bedroom.
