Retailer to close August 2020

One of Santa Monica’s last hardware and lumber stores is closing this summer to be replaced with a mix-use development.

What Now Los Angeles has reported that Fisher Hardware and Lumber’s (1600 Lincoln Boulevard) last day will be August 1, 2020. The Santa Monica Mirror has contacted Fisher for confirmation but management could not immediately be reached.

The 10,606 square foot property on Lincoln Boulevard and Colorado Avenue is being marketed by Lee & Associates as a new development.

A project description proposes a 5,001 square foot restaurant and 3,605 square feet of creative office space.
