1617 Broadway sold to unnamed seller

The property at 1617 Broadway in Santa Monica has been sold at the price of $9.2 million as reported by Los Angeles Business Journal. It is a 15,000-square-foot building first built in 2002.
The property was recently remodeled. The name of the new owner has not yet been revealed the identity of the seller is unknown. The new owner plans to live on the second floor and rent the rest of the property’s spaces.
Currently, a metal polishing shop, a personal training facility and a physical therapist’s office occupy the building. There are four live/work units on the first floor, the second and third floors are made up of creative office spaces and a remodeled penthouse that has private balconies.
According to the agents for the sale, the sale took only three weeks to complete. It was sold by agents from Kidder Mathews, Brittany McCarthy, Darrell Levonian and Tanel Harunzade. According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, the buyer was “drawn to the property’s renovations and centralized location in Santa Monica’s Media District.”
