By Dolores Quintana

A mansion in the exclusive Santa Monica neighborhood of Gillette Regent Square has been listed for sale at the price of $15.9 million as reported by Dupont Registry.com. The listing extolled the virtues of the estate and says that it is, “A spectacular generational home envisioned and curated by a rich history of sophisticated and elegant owners…this imposing and supremely private home was once owned and designed by Hollywood legends and moguls of industry. The home sits ensconced in a tropical oasis behind mature hedges and gates on a rare, extra-large double lot.” One of the most intriguing features is a “three-car showroom with walls of glass overlooking the pool.”

Located at 2020 Georgina Avenue, the property has 6,887 square feet of space with six bedrooms and six and a half baths. The formal entry to the home is encased in glass connecting to a large living room that comes equipped with a fireplace, guest bedroom and theater room.

Moving through the home, you will then come upon the chef’s kitchen filled with natural light with a marble island, state-of-the-art Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and a built-in dining space. On the second floor, you can find three bedrooms, all of which are ensuite and one of which is the master bedroom that holds dual bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Outside you will find walkable paths, fully mature trees shading the property, several outdoor dining areas, two fire pits and an incredible Balinese-style pool with a spa. The grounds also hold a two-story guest house that comes with one bedroom, a dry sauna, a gym and another office. The home also has solar panels and backup generators if the power ever goes out, top-of-the-line security cameras and an electronically controlled gated entry.
