Ingo’s Tasty Diner To Reopen in Santa Monica

The Retro-style Diner Will Open Shop Back Up on Wilshire Boulevard and Expand Into the Old Vienna Bakery Space.

Ingo’s Tasty Diner, a throwback diner destination that was a Santa Monica favorite, will be reopening later this year after recently closing its doors.

The restaurant, which featured retro designs such as black and white artwork, countertop seats and tight black booths, will open back up on Wilshire Boulevard this summer. Construction has already been underway

The mid-20th century styled diner will also be expanding into the old Vienna Bakery space. The Vienna Pastry was a Santa Monica staple taken over by Iranian refugees. That business struggled to stay afloat as the pandemic waned on its operations.

Ingo’s served farm-to-table options such as a white fish club sandwich, char-grilled broccoli and rib chop along with crafty draft beer and wine selections. It is not immediately clear if the revitalized location will provide a similar menu.

The restaurant is owned by LGO Hospitality which owns several locations in the LA metro including the La Grande Orange Cafe, The Misfit and The Otis Bar.
