8 Nights at Birdie G’s: A Holiday Feast Like No Other Returns To Santa Monica For 2023

Renowned Chefs, Culinary Collaborations, and Festive Flavors Await You

Chef/Owner Jeremy Fox and the Birdie G’s team are bringing back “8 Nights at Birdie G’s.” for 2023. Following the success of last year’s Hanukkah-ish dinner series that welcomed guest chefs from across the nation, this year’s event promises an even grander lineup, remarkable collaborations, and boundless festivities. You can book reservations on the Official 8 Nights Resy Site starting on Friday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. Be quick: an exclusive pre-sale has been going on for a couple of days, and many reservations have been booked already.

Presented by Resy, 8 Nights at Birdie G’s is from December 4 to December 7 and December 11 through December 14. The lineup is a mix of Jeremy’s mentors, friends, and former colleagues, including some wild collaborations:

  • December 4 – Sean Brock (Audrey)
  • December 5 – Ari Kolender (Found Oyster) + Maynard Llera (Kuya Lord)
  • December 6 – Kim Alter (Nightbird) + Mourad Lahlou (Mourad) + James Syhabout (Commis)

  • December 12 – Mei Lin (Daybird) + Jon Yao (Kato)
  • December 13 – David Kinch (Mentone)
  • December 14 – Katianna Hong & John Hong + Daniel & Caitlin Cutler (Ronan)

The doors will swing open to welcome all as Birdie G’s transforms into a hub of culinary excellence and merriment. “8 Nights at Birdie G’s” is not your typical ticketed event or prix-fixe dinner; it’s an invitation to savor à la carte specialties crafted by a rotating cast of acclaimed guest chefs, accompanied by Birdie G’s signature dishes. Attend one night or indulge in multiple evenings of delectable surprises.

Kicking off the series is none other than the James Beard Award-winning chef and cookbook author Sean Brock, the creative genius behind Nashville’s Audrey, June, The Continental, and Joyland. As the festivities continue, expect an array of exceptional collaborations, such as the local duo of critically acclaimed chefs Ari Kolender and Maynard Llera. This dynamic partnership promises to be a culinary delight.

Additional highlights include a gathering of talented chefs hailing from the Bay Area, featuring the likes of James Beard-nominated Chef/Owner Kim Alter, Chef/Proprietor & Cookbook Author James Suhabout, and Chef/Owner and Cookbook Author Mourad Lahlou. With the union of two James Beard “Best Chef” winners, Justin Pichetrungsi and Dave Beran, the culinary offerings will reach new heights.

Not to be missed is the participation of James Beard Award-winning Chef Junghyun Park, joined by his wife Ellia, known for their acclaimed NYC spots. Joining them are Daybird’s Mei Lin, a “Top Chef” and “Tournament of Champions” winner, along with Kato’s Jon Yao, a Michelin Star awardee, and Food & Wine’s “Best New Chef.”

A significant highlight will be the presence of Chef David Kinch, a mentor to Chef Jeremy Fox, who sharpened his skills at the renowned three-Michelin-starred Manresa. Culinary couples we adore, including Chefs Katianna & John Hong of Yangban and Caitlin and Daniel Cutler of Ronan, will conclude the series with their delectable creations.

To enhance the experience, local bookshop Now Serving will be selling the guest chefs’ cookbooks, while S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna will offer a refreshing selection of sparkling and still waters. Champagne Henriot will grace the occasion, pouring three exquisite Champagnes by the glass.

Resy stands as the Presenting Sponsor of 8 Nights at Birdie G’s, with supporting sponsors including S. Pellegrino, Acqua Panna, Champagne Henriot, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, and Now Serving.
