A Century of Elegance and Excitement in Santa Monica
By Dolores Quintana
The Santa Monica-Pacific Palisades Lions Club invites you to step back in time to the Roaring 20s, an era of extravagant parties, secretive speakeasies, and fabulous flappers reminiscent of “The Great Gatsby.” This historic celebration marks the club’s 100th Anniversary, harkening back to its founding in 1923.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of festivities on Sunday, October 29th, commencing at 6:00 p.m. at the Santa Monica Elks Lodge, located at 1040 Pico Boulevard. Revel in the ambiance with live jazz performed by The Jazz Cliffhangers, indulge in classic cocktails from our no-host bar, savor Gatsby-worthy appetizers, and relish a sumptuous dinner masterfully prepared by Chef Ann Bouchet. The evening will also feature exciting silent and live auctions, as well as a raffle offering beautifully hand-crafted gift baskets.
Immerse yourself in the allure of the Roaring 20s as you mingle with friends in our speakeasy-themed event. The Lion’s Club advises you to prepare to “Kick Up Your Heels!” because this celebration promises to be the “Bee’s Knees,” the “Cat’s Meow,” and, indeed, the “Lions Roar!” Tickets are available for $75.00 each, and all proceeds will support the philanthropic endeavors of the Santa Monica-Pacific Palisades Lions Club.
