The September Burglary Occurred Weeks After Others That Impacted the Tree-Lined Stretch of Road

A suspect who pointed a firearm at employees and robbed First Citizens Bank on Montana Avenue on Sept. 22, has been taken into custody by Santa Monica Police Department.
Yolanda Denise Caldwell, 52, was booked into the Santa Monica Jail for 211 PC, Robbery after detectives apprehended her on Oct. 25 in Redondo Beach. A warrant for Caldwell’s arrest was obtained after information from multiple sources assisted SMPD detectives to identify the suspect.
The September burglary occurred weeks after others that impacted some of the more than 150 dining spots and retailers established on the tree-lined stretch of road. Three dining spots were broken into earlier that month by suspects described as wearing ski masks and fleeing in a dark-colored sedan. The thieves smashed windows of all three locations, which included those of frozen yogurt franchise Pinkberry and coffeehouse Bardonna, while vegan restaurant Margo’s was also robbed of several thousand dollars in cash.
