Compositions Include “Pacific Grooves” by Tyler S. Grant and “Water Reflections” by Yukiko Nishimura
The Emeritus Concert Band of Santa Monica College, conducted by Yosuke Miyoshi, is set to present a complimentary concert titled “Liquid Grooves” on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. The performance will take place at The Broad Stage within the SMC Performing Arts Center, situated at 1310 11th Street (at Santa Monica Boulevard).
The upcoming concert, signaling the approach of spring, will showcase a thematic program inspired by the ocean and sea.
The Emeritus Concert Band will feature compositions including “Pacific Grooves” by Tyler S. Grant, “Water Reflections” by Yukiko Nishimura, “Loch Lomond” by Frank Ticheli, “Pirates of the Caribbean” by Klaus Badlet (arranged by John Wasson), “The Bench by the Sea” by Julie Giroux, and “Land of the Healing Waters” by Rossano Galante.
