Injured Female Hiker Rescued From Temescal Ridge Trail

The hiker was transported directly to a nearby hospital

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an incident involving a 28-year-old female hiker with an apparent ankle fracture on a remote section of the Temescal Ridge Trail in Topanga State Park.

The LAFD dispatched both ground and air units to the scene. An LAFD rescue helicopter lowered a flight paramedic to medically assess and stabilize the injured hiker. The patient and the paramedic were then hoisted into the helicopter for further in-flight care.

The hiker was transported directly to a nearby hospital for continued medical treatment.
