Police today are searching for two men who reportedly forced a woman and an infant into the trunk of a car outside a discount store in Inglewood, according to media reports.
It occurred at 11:10 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Inglewood Shopping Center in 2800 block of West Imperial Highway.
Witnesses told police two men approached the woman and child as they were walking toward a late-model silver four-door Mercedes-Benz with tinted windows and chrome rims.
As they reached the driver’s side door, the woman was forced to turn over her car keys and the two were pushed into the trunk.
The car was last seen driving east on Imperial Highway with the two suspects at the wheel, and in the passenger seat.
The woman was described as a light-skinned African American in her 20s wearing a blue denim jacket, blue denim pants and a multicolored scarf. The infant was said to be African American with braided hair and wearing a pink T- shirt and diaper.
Both suspects were described as African American, in their 20s, 5-feet-3- inches and weighing 140 pounds. One had short hair and was wearing a gray striped T-shirt and blue jeans. The other was wearing black pants, a blue denim jacket, a white shirt and black baseball cap.
