Boxie’s ‘Litter That Gives Back’ Campaign Supports LA’s Displaced Pets

Santa Monica is home to many innovative companies, but few have a mission as heartwarming as Boxie. Known for its premium cat litter, Boxie isn’t just in the business of keeping litter boxes clean—it’s in the business of keeping cats in their homes.

This April, Boxie is launching its ‘Litter That Gives Back’ campaign, a project that goes beyond pet care and into pet rescue. With each purchase of Boxie Glo™ cat litter, 20% of the proceeds will support LA Animal Services in their ongoing work to help pets displaced by the recent wildfires.

For cat lovers, it’s a simple way to make a difference. For the animals affected, it’s a lifeline.

Why This Campaign Matters

When a cat stops using the litter box, many owners don’t know how to fix the problem. In some cases, they feel they have no choice but to surrender their pet to a shelter. It’s heartbreaking, but it happens more often than people realize.

Boxie’s mission has always been to change that. By creating high-quality litter that helps prevent litter box issues, they’ve already helped countless cats stay in loving homes.

But this campaign takes their commitment even further. Because right now, cats (and dogs) across Los Angeles County are facing a crisis of a different kind.

The LA wildfires have left many families devastated, and their pets are part of that loss. Shelters are overwhelmed with rescued animals—pets who once had homes but are now waiting, hoping for a second chance. These shelters need help. That’s where Boxie, LA Animal Services, and you come in.

How ‘Glo For Good’ Works

For the entire month of April, every time someone purchases a Boxie Glo™ cat litter, 20% of proceeds go directly to LA Animal Services.

These donations will:

  • Provide food, medical care, and shelter for displaced pets
  • Help reunite lost pets with their families
  • Support ongoing rescue and adoption efforts

By doing something as simple as buying litter, cat owners can help keep animals safe and cared for during this difficult time.

LA Animal Services- The Real Heroes

Behind every rescue is a team of dedicated people working tirelessly to help animals. LA Animal Services has been on the front lines, providing shelter, medical care, and resources to animals affected by the wildfires.

It’s exhausting work. The number of displaced pets continues to grow, and shelters need funding to keep up. This campaign is one way to make sure they get it.

And for every pet that finds safety, comfort, and eventually a new home, it’s all worth it.

Centinela Feed’s Role in Making an Impact

Santa Monica pet lovers will surely recognize Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies—the beloved Southern California-based pet retailer with 21 locations

Centinela Feed is stepping up to help by making Boxie Glo™ litter available at their stores, giving customers an easy way to support the cause.

This partnership means that more people can participate, and more pets can get the help they need.

How You Can Help—Step by Step

Helping animals through this campaign is simple and direct. Here’s what to do:

  1. Buy Boxie Glo™ cat litter at Centinela Feed or at Boxiecat.com – This is the easiest way to contribute. Every purchase, whether in-store or online during April, helps fund care for displaced pets. Find a Centinela Feed store near you or shop online.
  2. Spread the word – Share the campaign with fellow pet lovers, friends, and family. The more people who know about it, the greater the impact.
  3. Consider adopting or fostering – Many shelters, including LA Animal Services, are at capacity. If you can provide a temporary or forever home, you’ll be giving an animal a second chance.
  4. Donate directly – If you don’t need litter but still want to help, consider donating to LA Animal Services to support their rescue efforts.

Even small actions make a big difference when we work together.

More Than Just Litter

At first glance, this might seem like just another pet product campaign. But it’s so much more than that.

It’s about keeping families together—helping cat owners solve problems before they feel forced to give up their pets. It’s about protecting the most vulnerable animals—those who have lost everything in the wake of natural disasters. And it’s about reminding us all that even small choices, like which litter to buy, can make a huge difference.

Santa Monica is a city that cares. And with Boxie, Centinela Feed, and LA Animal Services leading the way, we have a chance to show just how much.

For the cats. For the dogs. For the families who love them.

Because litter should do more than just clean—it should give back.
