Santa Monica’s ‘Summer Soulstice’ Festival Returns with Music, Classic Cars, and Family Fun

The event, featuring music, a PRIDE-themed bingo, a car show and a beer garden, spans Main Street from Strand Street to Pier Avenue

Santa Monica’s Main Street will transform into a car-free celebration of summer on Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. for the annual “Summer Soulstice” Festival. The free, all-ages event, hosted by the Main Street Business Improvement Association, features live music, a PRIDE-themed Drag Bingo, a classic car show, and kid-friendly activities.

Two music stages will anchor the festival. The Subaru Santa Monica Stage at Strand and Main streets will host Beau LePaige at 1 p.m., Jane Fonda’s at 3 p.m., and Petty Theft at 5 p.m. The Gerber Kawasaki Stage at Pier and Main streets will feature Hi My Name is Lana at 1 p.m., Manny B. The Kid at 3 p.m., and Red Hot Tribute at 5 p.m. A third stage, sponsored by the Ocean Park Association for global Make Music Day, will showcase local talent from noon to 5 p.m., including Nick Kennerly at noon, Marga Jayy at 1 p.m., Sydney DeFranco & Friends at 2 p.m., Dogtown Prophets at 3 p.m., and Little Spiral at 4 p.m.

The Honky Tonk Beer Garden, open from 2 to 7 p.m., offers $15 presale tickets for drink tastings, a complimentary goodie bag, and country hits spun by DJ MOZO. Miss Barbie-Q will host PRIDE Drag Bingo from 3 to 5 p.m. as part of Santa Monica’s SaMo Pride celebration. The Pump Station Kid Corner, from noon to 5 p.m., includes Super Soccer Stars, face painting, musical storytime, and a Q&A with Jennifer Agha-Khan.

Pet lovers can enjoy the VCA Pet Party & Photo Booth with giveaways and a Venice Paparazzi photo booth. A VW Classic Car Show will display vintage Westside car culture, while the Musicians on Call Booth will highlight efforts to bring live music to hospital patients. Edgemar Restaurant’s Marina Del Rave will offer a chill courtyard with deep house music from West LA DJs.

The festival encourages attendees to “Buy Local. Give Local.” to support Main Street’s unique businesses. The event spans Main Street from Strand Street to Pier Avenue.
