Dog-Friendly Event in Santa Monica Supports Local Rescue Group
Santa Monica’s four-legged residents will get their day in the sun this weekend, as Hot Dog on a Stick and Santa Monica Brew Works team up for a dog-friendly afternoon of food, brews, and philanthropy. The Dog Days of Summer event is set for Saturday, August 10, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Santa Monica Brew Works taproom.
The event, which aims to celebrate the end of summer while supporting animal welfare, will donate a portion of proceeds to Wags & Walks, a Los Angeles-based dog rescue organization.
Event Highlights
The family- and pet-friendly afternoon will feature:
- Complimentary samples of Hot Dog on a Stick’s iconic treats
- Free goodies for dogs courtesy of popular pet brands including Kismet, Playology, ZippyPaws, Earth Rated, Native Pet, BarkBox, and Yo Dawg Groom Spot
- A special beer-and-lemonade collaboration: For every 310 Stomped Shandy—a house brew blended with Hot Dog on a Stick’s signature lemonade—sold during the event, $1 will be donated to Wags & Walks
In addition to treats and beverages, guests are invited to bring their dogs for a relaxing afternoon of mingling in a casual brewery setting.
The event builds on a growing trend of pet-centric community gatherings, combining feel-good fun with fundraising. Organizers say the goal is to not only bring people and their pets together but also raise awareness and support for adoptable dogs in need.
Admission is free, but RSVPs are encouraged on Eventbrite.
