The 63rd Annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade will return on Saturday, Dec. 13, bringing illuminated vessels, live performers and crowds of spectators to the harbor for one of the region’s most anticipated seasonal events.

Organizers announced that this year’s theme, “A Nightmare Before Christmas,” will guide the boat decorations and costumes as participants showcase elaborate light displays, music, and holiday performances.

The parade is held each year on the second Saturday in December.

The evening begins with festivities at Burton Chace Park from 4 to 8 p.m., followed by a 15-minute light show at 5:45 p.m. The boat parade will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
